After being in Washington, DC since April I am finally back home in Texas! The plan for this year was to come back home every 4 months for physical therapy and whatever other tests were due at the time. Congress being Congress ya know kinda knocked that sideways and instead of 4 months it was a 6 month gap.
Getting back home couldn't have happened at a better time as my body has been through the ringer the last few weeks well month when I had a seizure in my Committees hearing room. My PT is probably going to just shake his head when he sees me this afternoon because oh boy am I coming to him broke. At the moment I have subloxed both of my shoulders (this happens enough that it doesn't even hurt anymore), I have a couple of ribs out of place (the last couple of ribs are not "true" ribs due to their ability to "float"), an ankle I think I sprained 3 weeks ago when I fell down the marble stairs at work (I am an idiot after all), and of course my neck being all sorts of locked and messed up because that is the downside of a fusion. Stuff gets messed up and you cant stretch it since the fusion prevent the movement.
In the next 8 business days I have 7 PT appointments to try and whip me back into shape before I head back up to DC. I am sure I am going to get told about how I am stressed but given its election season... that's kinda how it is right now till the elections are over. Cant wait for the PT to find other stuff wrong with me as well... Yayyyyyy
Elections must be both a stressful and exciting time for DC staffers. Hope you get some rest and both physical and mental.

Yeah esp. when everything is so unclear right now. Its good to get out of that city honestly... Staying in it to long... just isn't healthy

I hear that it isn't healthy to stay in a swamp if you have health trouble.

Nothing like going home to mend the mind and soul. Take it slow, watch squawk box, and get lots of sleep.

Yeah I’ve been kicking back and just double down on my PT so I can feel better! At least then I will feel much better physically!
