Yeah, I get why this is the "big one" from MLB's pov, but man did I want a Subway Series. But '77 was the first World Series I remember, and that and '78 made this the "natural" MLB rivalry in my head, so I'm still excited to watch it.
Subway series would have been a good narrative for MLB as well but it wouldn’t get the same national and global interest as Yankees vs Dodgers.
