Let's talk as grown up people for a second and just use common sense: why 5 of the world greatest superpowers would reunite together with the explicit purpose of challenging USA world dominance if it were a "pathetic and self-humiliating world-ruler"?

There is a problem with challenging the West. The B in BRICS refers to Brazil. Brazil has always assumed neutrality so as not to cause diplomatic problems, and another, any right-wing government that takes over Brazil will weaken this connection with these countries.
