It's looking like it'll take the Knicks a little while to work out their chemistry. It's also clear that the Celtics are still a dominant team.
See, I was right. They aren’t going to shoot 55% from 3. They are going to shoot 60% from 3. Knicks offense doesn’t look bad. The Celtics just can’t miss.
reply
On fire with the 3's! Still the same team indeed, live and die by the 3 like last season.
reply
Getting punched in the mouth by the defending champs might be the best thing for the Knicks after everyone was anointing them the next ones.
reply
The Knicks need time to work out their chemistry. KAT looked like he was on an island on a lot of the plays. The fact that the Celtics can't miss didn't help at all.
reply
Agreed. Clearly the Celtics are still hungry though.
reply
I didn't think the Knicks looked very special on either end. They need to establish an identity.
reply
Definitely wouldn’t say special but offense played fairly well for first 3 quarters. They shot 55%, 36% from 3. Scored well in the paint but too many turnovers, not enough assists and D was bad. Way too many uncontested shots for Celtics.
reply
They played pretty well offensively, but I didn't see anything that would present other teams a unique challenge.
I think they can find something with KAT-Brunson pick and pops. KAT also exploited some mismatches really nicely and other teams will be caught with lesser defenders than Holiday/White trying to stop KAT.
Need the Twolves and the under in game 2.
reply
Their defense isn't looking very impressive and their rebounding is terrible.
reply
8 blocks for Lakers. 1 for Twolves. 7 steals for Lakers. 4 for Twolves. 7 turnovers for Lakers. 16 for TWolves.
Ugly.
Lakers shot 16.7% from 3 and controlled the game start to finish.
reply
I thought the unders seemed a little low.
reply
Under hit on the Lakers/Wolves game. But Wolves didn’t win so no good for me.
