Maintaining our mental health involves us stepping out of our comfort zone and trying out something different. Hence, when we try something novel and overcome all the hurdles, we will feel good about ourselves. This may create a virtuous cycle, which may generate more selfless acts.
When SN announced that it would embark on the non-custodial route, I hurriedly figured out how to use Blink to add my external sending and receiving wallet address. It frustrated me a bit because I was so new to all this, but I stuck by it and eventually got it done.

This image showed me that Blink was considered to be a more difficult mountain to scale than CoinOS. But I skipped CoinOS and came straight to implement Blink. I’m not as bad with technology as I previously thought.
When was the last time you felt fantabulous about accomplishing something?

Typically a lot of my stuff has been work-focused or technology-focused. Since I came home to both visit my parents and go to a bunch of doctor appointments though I have had a new one I am super proud of...
Replacing part of the fence that has fallen over and rotted through at my parent's house. Living in an apartment in DC means I do not have a lot of yard work or physical labor stuff to do so it has felt really good getting my hands dirty! Digging out a 4 x 4 post and smashing out the concrete around it. Leveling and concreting in the new pole etc!

Nothing compared to your level of exertion but recently I relish the sweat dripping from my body whenever I bring tons of recycled papers to the recycling machine. We are meant to do physical tasks

Good question. I find that I'm endlessly motivated by self improvement. I'm always seeking to acquire new skills or knowledge, and I hope to impart this attitude in my children.
New masteries for me in the last year include:
  • Set up my own lightning node from scratch
  • Learned how to work with OpenAI's API to automate GenAI tasks
  • Got my first pedal for electric guitar and learned a lot about customizing and saving preset tones

It’s a pity that the mood here is decidedly anti-AI. I would love to learn how to automate Gen AI tasks from you

When I finally got the invincibility music to pause the main soundtrack on stacman, I believe I reached a new level of javascript mastery. The words If and Else in javascript have turned out to be the most fun I've ever had with recursion.

Not a great accomplishing, but surely made my very happy to find a hidden Lego bargain on a second hand market :)
