So I tell you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.
Luke 15:10
PRAYER OF THE DAY - Luke 15:10
Dear God, Creator of all things, we thank You for granting us this new day. Just as You taught us in Luke 15:10, we recognize and celebrate the joy that breaks out in the heavens when a sinner repents and returns to You. We ask that You help us to welcome each new dawn with gratitude in our hearts, recognizing the opportunity to approach You and our fellow man with love and compassion.
May we, as Your children, spread the light of Your goodness and mercy to all who cross our path this day. Help us to be instruments of forgiveness, reconciliation, and hope, reflecting Your infinite love for all beings.
Grant us, O God, the wisdom to recognize the opportunities for spiritual growth and service to others that You place before us. May we act with generosity, humility, and compassion, following the example of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray,
Amen.
Luke 15:10 is part of Jesus’ parables about the joy in heaven over the repentance of sinners. In this passage, Jesus teaches that there is great joy among God’s angels whenever a sinner repents and returns to Him. This demonstrates God’s love and mercy, who always seeks restoration and reconciliation with those who have strayed. This message reminds us of the importance of repentance and seeking a life aligned with God’s teachings, and encourages us to share this joy with others.
