Are you asking for a deeper meaning? If it is dark, the old adage is that that kind of sky is better for sailing. If morning, not so much. (red hues) I'd say, however, that it probably means there is some kind of mercy present in that location keeping the harsh sunlight from "beating down" on everyone, at least on that day.
