Does anyone know a service that can email/text you when Bitcoin drops x%? I'm thinking DCA most the time but save the 'extra' for times when the market dips.
I think there are a bunch of apps that can do that. I've never used them as I think you need to pay for the price alerts

You can use If-This-Then-That to setup that kind of thing.
They have the price of Bitcoin available and they can send SMS and email.

I've always wanted to make ITTT app work and could never figure out a way! Thanks @nullama!

I don't use cashapp to buy bitcoin, but i have it anyway cause its the best out of those kind of apps. They have push alerts if it moves more than 5% that pop up for me. (I think cashapp might be US only though)

Aren't there apps that allow you to DCA extra if a dip triggers it?

I just signed up for Swan, never got OKCoin and Amber to work with my bank...Most of my transactions are with Strike. I haven't seen that option to buy extra.
Also thank you x1000 @K00b for SN and all the work you do!

I also signed up for Swan but then I realized they only work with US banks. I am in Europe :(

Bummer @ekzyis - they do have some good edu resources to check out even if you can't use them to buy: https://www.swanbitcoin.com/canon/ This goes a long way to cover the 100+ hours it takes to start understanding the farthest reaches of BTC and how it will change everything.

Couldn't you just leave a standing limit buy order? (assuming you have fiat balance).
There are quite a few exchanges now that offer DCA, but as far as if any do this type of a limit order, I wouldn't know without researching each. The following blog post has a list of exchanges with DCA:
