We had our first trick or treat with my son who was looking forward to it all week. It was the first thing he said in the morning: "OK, let's go"
"TRICK OR TREAT!"
He dressed up as a skeleton dinosaur and had a jack'o'lantern mask. When we were out he was starting to get scared. Especially if the people who had realistic costumes on! He was shaking... It was hilarious!
Its funny as we never did Halloween like this in Australia. But from what I saw last night, it was huge! There were people walking around all dressed up everywhere. Some teenagers causing some trouble too, but overall had a good experience.
That reminds me of my daughter's first time trick-or-treating. She was really excited and we went to a few of the neighbor houses first.
Then, we got to a house with a legitimately scary prop. She screamed and ran all the way back home.
This year someone had a big animatronic werewolf that scared her at first, but then she started yelling back at it "I'M BRAVE!" and she went and got her candy.
