My wife and I were troubleshooting the sprinkler system this morning. We both had to be outside to check which ones were working. So just for 5-10 minutes we leave the kids inside, every now and then checking through the window that everything was ok.
After some time I come back inside to see that my son is rubbing his hands and see that there's liquid hand wash over parts of his body. I take him to the sink to wash it off and see that he's put everything on the bathroom counter into the sink. Cream, towel, toothbrush, scissors etc. I told him off and put everything away. I think he got the idea from some recent Halloween games like making witch/warlock potions.
So tonight I go to brush my teeth and somethings not right...
It tastes funny...like SOAP!!
I should have known but damn...
It lingers too...
It's weird you didn't smell/taste soap in your mouth until you brush!

Children are always a sponge 🧽 they absorb everything they see and hear, maybe he didn't see any problem in experimenting with everything he got, the world of children is magical, friend @OT patience, love and communication are our pillars as parents.

This is quite the fascination at our house, as well, as is making potions.

I was spending time with a friend's son and daughter last night, omg... the girl was quietly sitting and making necklaces, so nice and cute, yet the boy was destroying things, so annoying! I felt he wanted attention.

Haha. Look on the bright side, he could have dropped it all in the toilet.
Thanks for sharing.

Potion making must be a worldwide kid thing to do all my kids do it we often buy stuff that they can use for it so they don’t use the more expensive stuff that mum has for hair etc . Found using food colouring and water is a cheap way of doing it containers of different colours
