So, I volunteer at a non-profit thrift store.
Some days I am taking in donations, other days I am folding cloths for sorting.
And if I see something, I am allowed to have them price it out and buy it.
I ended up finding this jacket!
It only cost 12 dollars, what a steal!
Has anyone ever found something at a thrift shop that they got at an extremely good price?

I constantly find nice things at thrift stores, it's most of my wardrobe. There are some thrift stores nearby that have a monthly bag day sale - a medium size bag full of whatever clothing you like, for 6 USD. Some great buys there! A lot of people have discovered it, though - many people go there to buy goods to resell online.
A lot of regular folks think that the reselling of thrift store items is a bad thing, but I try to explain that thrift stores have way more items than they can sell at thrift store prices. Also that the resellers are actually doing a lot of work (picking good quality items, sorting and organizing) and then providing it to a really broad online marketplace, with decent photos and often a guarantee. So it's really a win-win. That's how markets work.

Yes.
But l think you would be surprised at how many of the workers know what each item is worth.
When l brought it to the front counter, the person said l got a good item and it must have been mispriced.
I just had to tell her l was the first to find it, amd they were the ones who priced it.
She told me it was a good find nonetheless.

Why not thrift?
The clothes and other things are all being sold at good prices.
The goods are at least checked for operation.
Almost everything I wear comes from a thrift shop.
It also helps out those who the thrift is run by.
A good deal all round.

Yes, it is always good.
The cloths always get a second home, and can be uwed for a long time if they are well taken care of.

Have been a thrifter since I met my wife and she introduced me to it. Clothes are incredibly over priced IMO and many of these stores really help people in need.

There are 2 large thrift stores near my house, and I've found a lot of bargains. The blouse I like to wear the most came from a thrift store

Thrifting used to be one of my big hobbies. Nearly all of my clothes save a few items were thrifted.
It can be very time consuming when the stores aren't organized well, but it's fun to "hunt and forage" for neat items or clothing that were never mass produced or most of them otherwise ended up in a landfill. It's also a cheap way to discover new aesthetics or acquire a high quality item you can't afford.

I always enjoyed thrifting, too.
I remember when cordoroy pants were always on the shelves, now I rarely see them.
Especially the thicker variety.
I like finding older style cardigans, the quality is a lot nicer than most of the stuff produced today.
And if I use it at work, its not the end of the world if it gets oil or grease on it.
I have to be careful to get 100% cotton, or else it might melt and burn on my skin.
