Yes, it depends on the group. If it’s a group too large for video games, or if the group has women, then we’ll play cards or a board game.
I’ve found a group of about 5 or 6 people interested in playing games is the best. You can get 4 of them to play at almost any time, but not the same 4 every time. They have to be interested in playing, though. Having a variety of this type of game is helpful, too.

We have one player that gets in a mood where he will only try to loose or ruin the play of the game. This is a really difficult situation. This sucks, not playing the game correctly. He also plays hard to win at other times. Which is great! The players have to be in the right mood for a good game.
