Not a bad move. Go for the division but if not they will be in a good position to pick up a WC with the west sucking and the North beating each other up.
Right. And, they can get Daniels some playoff experience very early in his career.

Should we talk about how Daniels is better than Williams? At least so far.

I meant to make a post on the topic. It's worth talking about, but I don't have any particular hypothesis about why the 2nd picks are outplaying the 1sts. We should see what the stackers think.

We should also look beyond the last couple seasons to see if it's actually a thing.

Is Desmond Ridder better than Kenny Pickett?
reply
Hmmm. Tough to say. Pickett was looking good but he is a backup now and Ridder hasn't won a starting job either.

If not, then we have to go back to Mahomes to find a #2 QB who's better than the #1.

Interesting approach by the 49ers at the trade deadline to do nothing. Obviously CMC, Jennings, Feliciano, Greenlaw, Hufunga, Moody all coming back over the next few weeks is a big boon to the roster but might tell you what they think about the difficult remaining schedule and the likelihood they will have to play two playoff games on the road this year if they get to the conference championship.
I think the Williams/Daniels thing is more interesting than the Young/Stroud thing. The Bears really went all out to give Williams tons of weapons and Daniels wasn't even the consensus #2. A lot of people thought the Commanders might go with Maye.
