It is certainly normal for people involved in politics to be concerned about what happens in political events, especially the stupid people who lead politics (understand stupid = a person who harms others even if that means harm to himself), although there are always political leaders who are bandits (those who harm others for their own benefit), and on the other hand there are the naive ones (those who suffer harm for the benefit of others). So that the Stupid, Bandits and Naive people worry about political events could be considered "normal"; But if that interest spreads and contaminates Bitcoiners, people who are mostly known for being intelligent (people who seek their own benefit and that of others), that doesn't seem so "normal" to me anymore.
I'm not saying that Bitcoiners aren't aware of what's happening in the world around them, but from that to being very concerned about the results of an election and especially relating the possible result of these elections to Bitcoin, especially whether or not it will influence the price of Bitcoin, whether or not it will help the adoption of Bitcoin.
In my very modest opinion as a novice, Bitcoin has its own value and adoption is not going to be related to governments.
Everyone is free to think and see things from their own perspective, but in any case we must try to be CONSISTENT, for me:
Bitcoiner=Libertarian
And that is very different from Politics (seen from the point of view of governments)
So how am I going to teach that Bitcoin frees you from the slavery of banks that are prostituted with governments and on the other hand I am going to be shouting that if one president or another comes out, Bitcoin will do better?
