This is my recently acquired machince which is known as a Record Cutting Lathe made in the late 1930s early 40s by a renowned French engineer Pierre Clement. Mr Clement was known for his work in sound recording, broadcasting, and the motion picture industry, establishing these sectors in France and designing a lot of the early equipment.
After getting the machince it's taken a while to get it fully working but it's now nearly 98% ready, still gotta do a few things on it to get it up to a level that I'm happy with, but so far so good.
What do I plan to do with it?
Cut records on it of course, I will be able to cut 12",10", 7" inch records and any odd-ball sizes in between.
I plan to offer a service for Singers/Rappers/DJ's/Bands/Producers/Record Labels etc or anyone wanting a custom one-off record or a short-run of records which can include custom artwork for labels and sleeves.
Another thing that I would like to start is secure solution for long term hodlers. You've heard of Hardware wallet, what I'm proposing is what I call a Soundwave wallet, but in reality it's really a safe or a vault more than a wallet.
More details TBA on that one soon.
