The reason why I called this a "garbage" article is because author jumps from "climate scenario analysis" to "the ruling class’s preferred enviro statist technocratic tyranny" in short order.

If you actually read similar CB policies they are looking to understand the economic impacts if businesses were to switch to a net-zero emissions policy (and whether or not this is even feasible). Additionally, they intend evaluate the costs due to insurers in natural disasters.

Problem 1: Banks are conducting this investigation

Problems 2: No one investigates a capability they aren't trying to deploy for operational use. This is military mindset 101, and these banks are not a humanitarian organization, they are militant.

This isn't just checking what will happen, this is checking how to get it to work.
