Did they purposely remove this or what?
ABC is part of the mess not the cure.

Yes, I guess someone would send something like this out if they thought it was funny.
Maybe it was a test of humor, you can never tell!
That people could not ignore the messages, shows that there is a lot of raw feelz and thin skin out there.
You are supposed to just delete the f*ing things and go on with your day!!!!

It looks like a problem to me. The beatings happened in a city jail. The hanging happened after a lawsuit was filed. Hmmmm.. very suspicious. Did he use is right to self-defense?
However, this does not look like a case of thin skin to me, it looks like outright murder.
A point of the “racist” text messages is that “anti-racist” people have been caught in a huge percentage of cases, sending the messages to themselves or another “anti-racist”. People are doing it to themselves and saying someone else is doing it.

Maybe they realized they couldn't verify that the texts were real and deleted the story?

It is actually starting to look like a teenage prank, but FBI is "investigating."

On No Agenda it was proposed that it was a Democrat prank meant to stir up more nonsense. That makes sense to me. I don't know if you remember in the 1980s the Atlanta children serial killer. The media was bent on making the suspect white and it eventually turned out that it was not the case.
In the No Agenda media deconstruction many times the M5M have admitted that they bend the truth for the "greater good". This is because they've been told that the majority of country people are racist and so they need to make sure that the evidence backs up their beliefs.
As far as the investigation is concerned anonymous phone numbers are easy to spoof and that's a possibility that from over seas there may be a group targeting the US to cause harm. I live in an adjacent city to Norfolk and many times at shipyards there are bomb threats done similarly.
When we get together and talk about these things the inertia loses because the reality is more complex. What's funny is that the only person I've ever known to actually pick cotton was my wife because in the country she grew up in it was mandatory for teenagers to do this and they didn't get paid!

Your cotton reference lacks understanding and perspective. My father picked and chopped cotton and joined the Navy during the Vietnam war (1968) to escape the fields. Just because you don't know anyone who experienced something doesn't mean it didn't or doesn't happen. Also, Virginia was more a Tobacco growing state like North Carolina. Ask older blacks around you if they picked and cured tobacco, not cotton.
Opinions are fine, but should be used as a reference to prove a point. At least not with me. I like to see evidence over conjecture.

We have a lot of cotton here. More than tobacco. At least closer to the ocean. Peanuts are big here, too. in the middle of the state there is definitely more tobacco.
Anyway... the M5M loves to stir the pot but they are more irrelevant. People are tired of the nonsense. It's easy to see who still watches the local news because they are wearing masks.
I'm very grateful that conservative voices are more prominent now. I was gas lit also. I only watch the local news when there is a hurricane.

They don't present evidence, but that doesn't matter these days, right?
