I’m so impressed with my kid.
I only became aware of the platypus at the ripe old age of 39 - only because I was entrusted with teaching Science at the primary school. And only because the platypus is one of two egg-laying mammals, which made me want to impress my students with this trivia sometime, someday.
Today, we were flipping through the pages of my PSLE Science guide when he didn’t flinch at the picture of the platypus.
“Did you know about コダック(Kodakku)?” he asked me.
“No, I don’t!” I admitted my ignorance.
He then took out his Pokemon book and pointed at the picture of Psyduck.
Wow! Thank you, Pokemon, for fostering animal literacy in kids all over the world!
