With the Rays moving to a new stadium in 2028 and the city of St. Petersburg estimates repairs will cost approximately $55.7 million to be completed by 2026 should they even fix it? If they instead focus on the new stadium they could get it done quicker and instead of an outdated stadium have a brand new one in a much better location.
The Trop wont even be ready for the 2025 season either which just seems to make it less and less of an ideal situation. Plus what government project not only goes on budget but on time?
