A customer today was wearing a University of Chicago sweatshirt so I asked him if he went to school there, and what he studied. He did, and economics was his answer.I figured that since the school has a reputation for strong academics, I asked him if he was taught any Austrian economics. His answer was a bit of surprise. He said, "what? Austrian economics, haven't heard of it". To be fair, this guy is a retired iT guy, he didn't do anything with his econ degree. But I mentioned some authors and he hadn't heard of them. I am surprised that a school as credible as Chicago didn't cover any Austrian theory in BA in Econ, but I've adjusted my expectations accordingly. However, since he did have a career in iT, coupled with some education in economics I asked him what he thought of Bitcoin. He said he didn't trust anything on a computer. So I didn't press it any further. Then I had another customer who I have had several encounters with this year. She is a successful business owner, and had just returned from an industry conference in Nashville. I asked her if anyone was there talking about taking Bitcoin for payments. She said there were not, and that she didn't trust it. So add this information to the data pile. I think that both of these people represent a strong sentiment in the populace, but the probably associate it with the scams and shitcoinery that is prevalent. I think as Bitcoin crosses the 100k mark in the very near future, and more businesses start seeing at Bitcoin as highly liquid reserve asset, we will see the signs and QR codes popping up here and there. As for now, keep stacking.

This is kind of weird to hear these days considering how much of our lives are on computers - whether we know it or not. It's understandable though, because Bitcoin requires trusting computers more than most systems. In most systems the computer is kind of optional.

Tip: If you add blank lines between your paragraphs, your posts will be easier to read and look nicer.

stackers have outlawed this. turn on wild west mode in your /settings to see outlawed content.
the discussion is also good, now students really have to discuss a lot, and have to know a lot about the development of computers, because now is the time to get to know more about the world of computers.
but my advice is, it's best to give paragraphs in written form, so that there is a break in the last paragraph when reading it.
