The Bitcoin subreddit is great during bear markets (like last year, maybe last summer). There is a lot of insightful commentary and discussion during a bear market... and most of the people care about Bitcoin legitimately.
Right now it's... a forum for unsuccessful daytraders LOL. If that individual bought 75k today then he/she would be down for the day.
In addition they think they can 'hold for a year' and then 'buy a house'. Well... what if Bitcoin is down 50% from now in a year's time? Do they believe in Bitcoin or not? Because tourists get washed out during bear markets or volatility if they don't know what they are buying (which many apparently don't)
