pull down to refresh

We almost all survived!
Sorry, @BlokchainB. You took what should have been a very safe Denver team and then neither their very good head coach nor the best player in the world showed up.
Ode to the fallen:
In peace, may you leave this shore. In love, may you find the next. Safe passage on your travels, until our final journey to the ground. May we meet again.
Let's all pour one out for Blok.

Winners' Recap

The Pistons were really trying to get @supercyclone eliminated, but the Raptors were just too pathetic to hold onto the win.
Despite putting up almost 50 points in the first quarter, Cleveland let the lowly Bulls back into the game. Ultimately, I doubt @realBitcoinDog was ever particularly concerned that the now 14-0 Cavs would put Chicago away.
After seeming to have the game in hand, the Knicks somehow allowed cross-town rival Brooklyn back in the game. Thankfully for @gnilma's wallet, they made two big plays to close out the game.
The Magic, sans young star Paolo, clobbered the supposedly contending 76ers. @Carresan really never had to sweat this one.
In a game of which I watched not one second, the Hawks defeated the woeful Wizards and secured survival for the rest of us.

Other Notable Games

The Jimmy-less Heat put a real whooping on the Pacers, who are looking miserable this season.
OKC continues winning, despite having no centers in their rotation. I think 6'3" Lu Dort might be playing center.
I caught a little bit of the Lakers, Warriors, and T-Wolves, all of whom looked good in their wins.

@BlokchainB used his re-buy already?
I thought I was going to get the strike. Just as I was getting that 5k sats ready for the re-buy, Brunson and Bridges saved my wallet and put on these 2 heroic plays.
Check out the closing minutes of the Lakers game. The Spurs put up a good fight, but AD and LeBron came in clutch to get that win. Also, I really think Wemby should shoot less 3's and take advantage of that height in the paint. His air ball 3 point attempt near the end really cost them.
Also, Timberwolves and Ant in particular ruined Fox's 60 piece to beat the Kings in OT. Fox tried, but without DeRozan and Monk, there's only so much he could do. How about this play by Ant? Sensational!

That Knicks court gave me a headache. How did you watch a whole game on that?
I haven't watched the Kings-Wolves recap yet. I caught some of the early game, though. It's a good match up.

If that orange from the Knicks game give you a headache, try that Hawk's yellow court; you would suffer. I had 4 games on at once, so I never really stare at 1 single game for too long. But yes, they really need to work on those court colors. The bright color courts are really hard to look at for long periods of time.
reply
I've mostly disliked the grey ones this year, whereas last year it was the garish courts that bothered me.

I don't mind the more dull colors, but any bright colors really hurts my eyes when I have to look at them for too long.
reply
Some of the grey ones just don't have much contrast between the floor and the players, which causes some eye strain. I didn't think all of them were bad, though. For instance, I thought San Antonio's court was fine.

Great recap! Congrats to everyone going through to the next round.

But me of course

I know ! Really sorry for your elimination. It’s been unfortunate having chosen a “safe” option

Pour one out for @BlokchainB 🍻
I agree it adds to the challenge knowing that some of the best teams don’t particularly care about winning “The Cup” which makes it harder to guess.
Still, you know all those LOUD AND PROUD Lakers fans will wear the t-shirts and riot if they win the cup! U know, whoever they are.

I remember Shaq roasting the Lakers for hanging the In-Season Tournament Banner last season and kept calling it not a banner, haha.
reply
I forgive him haha. It was after his time!

Thanks dog!

I wasn't even thinking about how little they care, when Blok chose them.
Having your head coach skip a game, because his daughter had a volleyball game is not something I've ever heard of.

“Family first!”

Lu Dort can do anything.
This is a nice tie in to today's poll.
@supercyclone was far too pleased about the Raptors falling for my liking. Clearly he has forgotten about our wonderful memories of watching the Raps championship run and celebrating together. Teenagers. Hopefully when he is older he will appreciate those times and not root against his team.
reply
Best NBA trade ever. Get Leonard for exactly one season to clinch Canada’s first championship!
reply
Definitely a great trade. I don't know about best ever. Maybe for Raps fans like me.
Another good topic to cover @Undisciplined along with whatever the other suggestion I made a couple days ago that I have already completely forgotten about. Haha.
reply
Off the top of my head, I'd say the Lakers trading for Wilt and Kareem were better trades.
Shame on you, @realBitcoinDog. I thought you were a Lakers fan.
reply
Was the trade for Lebron even a trade??
reply
No. Lebron's never been traded, but AD was.

Fear the brow

He is just going through his rebellious years.
reply
Haha. He still likes the Raps. He just thinks they stink and they do right now.
reply
I can't argue with that.
reply
I truly don’t understand this! Like what the hell! I want to rant but I won’t. Just can’t believe this is happening to me again
reply
At least it guarantees you another podcast mention.

Good luck to ya
