It’s only cause I’m from the Houston area and went to Galveston so much as a kid that I know about him! Certainly a key figure in American boxing history!

Jefferies and he played the match of the 20th century.
We should create a seperate list for before 1950s, I think. There were many greats from that era too. Jameson might be called the pioneer of black boxers as well.

The match I mentioned was done in 1910, I think so I know but because you want to Galveston, so you might have felt all the vibes that the legend left behind. He was culture and history of racism in the United States.
