I'd love to taste the first dish! How is it called?

I think my mother-in-law just put together all the things that she felt we would like, such as crabs, fish cakes, fried shrimps

In our house we have roast turkey with stuffing, potatoes, rice, gravel, cranberry sauce, usually green beans and pie (either apple or pumpkin) on Christmas Day. We are eating the turkey for several days afterward and have turkey bone soup for about a week afterwards. On New Years Day we have only regular food. There are no breaks for my wife over the holidays!!

I didn’t know that families consume their turkey over several days/a week!

Yes, it is easy. We get a 7-8kg turkey, roast it, and have leftovers. You can make hot turkey sandwiches, cold turkey sandwiches, turkey and gravey on potatoes or rice and just plain reheated turkey. When we get done with the meat, stuffing and everything else, we make turkey bone soup with the carcass and meat left on the bones. It is all delicious and worth waiting throughout the year for.
