I'm marking this as a great recommendation and will be my objective in future. I'm also not fan of browsing. The TV and OTTs are for everyone. We live in a joint family and evryone can watch. That's very much for my mother who like to watch a lot of religious content.

A home media server in a raspberry pi. Super easy to set up.  It works great. I have over 1000 movies and tons of shows, and music. I just download them from torrent. Having my own curated collection is way better to me than browsing any of those platforms. I prefer getting exposed to new media other ways. I don't use Spotify or anything like that either. I also keep a Collection on my phone on a 512 gb micro SD. So I have my favorites everywhere I go, even with out internet. Who's making the decentralized media streaming library?
