The all items index rose 7.0 percent for the 12 months ending December, the largest 12-month increase since the period ending June 1982.

The government has put itself in a huge bind.


Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised to see price control discussions ramp up in 2022, seems like the next best band-aid for the government to slow inflation.

It's by no means a good long-term solution, but neither was all this money-printing.
