I'm happy to see more and more people post here. Because of this, I'd like to propose a few guidelines to try to adhere to when posting in ~science to keep the experience pleasant for everyone. These are not strictly enforced but will increase your chances of having meaningful discussions and not being perceived as a satfarmer. I do not moderate or censor posts I do not necessarily agree with, as I believe we can learn from conflicting ideas.

Link to a source when posting something from outside SN. This can easily be achieved by choosing the link option after clicking post.
Provide context to your link. Ideally, this can be a quote of the link you cited as well as your personal thoughts on this quote or link. To provide context, click on the options dropdown menu and you'll see the context textbox. To quote something, use this markdown syntax (notice the >):

Engage with the people commenting on your post. Especially if you are asking a question and people make the effort to answer said question. We are here to learn something, not just for the sats, right? Of course, if you have nothing to say, it's also ok to keep quiet and read other people's thoughts.

I will likely adjust my tipping habits a bit to motivate adherence to these guidelines.

I like ~Science and your suggestion/guideline is indicative for all the links posted here. It's always good if stackers put a quote with the link.

If you can edit, put these guidelines on the info for territory so as everyone can have a look at them before posting.

I feel like these are the basic guidelines, but it is good you reiterate and define boundaries. It will only make the content better in the long run.

Haha, definitely no time or interest in micromanaging. The hope is that the SN reward system will take care of that.

Yes, I did learn some stuff. Even though I still a staunch believer in evidence-based science, I likely opened my eyes a little bit to a part of science that does not adhere to some of these principles. Unfortunately, it is the part of science that is mostly visible in politics. Politics corrupt the scientific method~~

Hence my attempt at sharing the beauty of science, just done for the sake of science or for the sake of human advancement. Unaffected by policy decisions, other than the ones related to funding of course. By showing these, I hope the show the importance of keep science funding alive, and support the scientist that do good.

It's nice, indeed. I'll try to step up my own game by engaging with the articles posted here. Currently, it's mostly the controversial posts that drive discussion.
