"Today there was a new Russian missile. All the characteristics – speed, altitude – are (of an) intercontinental ballistic (missile). An expert (investigation) is currently underway," Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said in a video statement.
The Ukrainian air force said the missile was fried from the Russian region of Astrakhan, more than 700 km (435 miles) from Dnipro in central-eastern Ukraine. It did not specify what kind of warhead the missile had or what type of missile it was. There was no suggestion it was nuclear-armed.

Two people were wounded as a result of the attack, and an industrial facility and a rehabilitation center for people with disabilities were damaged, according to local officials.
Crazy how the dudes that are going to leave in 2 months or so are trying to escalate to ww3 now...
Yet people still believe this shit happens organically and we learn of it in real time
Couple of things that stuck out to me…
Seems like another stupid move by Russia
Something doesn't add up
Honest to god whatever was launched was either a weapon that had little to no explosives or was a dud based on the photos
At this point there is little I trust when it comes to global conflicts. So much BS tactics designed to manipulate the masses and manufacturer consent. I just pray these clowns don't start WW3 in a quest for whatever they are going after.
To me, it is wild how Putin is approaching a Trump Presidency for a few reasons.
Yeah, not sure how much of this is real though vs. posturing. It is interesting.
Honestly, China is much more of a concern to me but I don't think either side is looking for all out war. My guess is that Trump will talk tough and spend a crazy amount on increased military spending.
I agree 100% with China but I feel like they are still recovering from the huge corruption issue with the missiles being filled with water and not rocket fuel. They purged a lot of higher-ups and so those that are filling their shoes need time to understand what they are supposed to do. China doesn't have any sort of military conflict that battle-hardened their soldiers though which is an interesting thing when you think about it. A lot is learned when you are in a fight and they just do not have that at all so if a real fight breaks out I am not sure how they would respond with the ebb and flow of battle.
Hadn't heard about this. That sounds like sabotage, not corruption.
AI will drastically increase the disinformation.
AI is increasing information of all types. Noise. Some of it malicious. What's the answer?
We actually need to be more concerned about misinformation. The difference between the two is the intent and if you are relying on AI for your news and it hallucinates that wasn't done with malice it was an accident hence the misinformation label.
On a related note, all six missiles fired into Russia were intercepted...

Have you seen the pictures of the after the attack? Or hear the cookoffs going on? What did Russia KO their own base cause it’s not doing to swell
Also launching an ICBM to Europe or the US will be in the air for a while and Patriot systems are designed to shoot them down so it doesn’t really make sense
I feel like this needs to be said over and over again. We really have to be careful that we do not fall for the black and white ways conflicts like this are framed. I'm not excusing Putin here. Just saying both states have long histories of lies and corruption. What is being done to the Ukrainian people is terrible. It's wrong. But, I do not trust their government and President. I do not trust Biden or Trump. When institutions and men lie... why would you trust them?
Its really sad how the masses fall for the same tricks over and over again. The US uses puppets all over the globe and tries to paint them as heros and noble. Never forget that Bin Laden was once one of these figures.
What I am saying is renain skeptical. That doesn't mean you pick a side or don't pick a side. Just don't fall for the many propaganda campaigns.
2 people wounded? buildings damaged but not destroyed? does not seem like an economical use of an ICBM.
Why would he waste the intercontinental missile for something that can be reached with simple long range-, cruise- and even short range missiles.
Does he think the west will take this as a warning? I feel like we mostly read this as a desperate sign of running out of ammo (short range missiles) instead.
Russians are a wonderful people.
With a terrible government.
I wish the Ukrainians all the best.
How many days are remaining with the current administration?
Hopefully less than one.
That's so tragic even after many years of war. It is still devastating.
