  • The decisions by Hoth and Acurx reflect a growing trend of businesses adopting Bitcoin for treasury strategies, following examples set by MicroStrategy, Tesla, and Block.

Global Trade & ~Econ

  • British and French industry alike set out a more positive mood this month. In the U.K., manufacturers expect to produce more in the three months to February, according to the Confederation of British Industry’s latest survey released Thursday. Meanwhile, a monthly index of sentiment in France’s manufacturing industry rose in November, regaining some of confidence lost in October. The mood among French manufacturers nevertheless continues to trail the long-term average, said French statistics authority Insee, which published the survey Thursday.

  • The Department of Justice asked a federal judge Wednesday to force Google to sell off its popular Chrome browser and impose restrictions on how it uses artificial intelligence and its Android mobile operating system in a bid to break up the company’s illegal monopoly over the search engine market.

  • Earlier this week, James, the NBA’s all-time leading points scorer, described how “everybody on the internet called me a liar all the time” for praising rookie Dalton Knecht’s college performances at Tennessee.

  • Disease name: Epidermolysis bullosa (EB), or "butterfly disease".
  • Affected populations: Butterfly disease is estimated to affect around 1 in 50,000 children, if you count all subtypes of the disease together. EB is equally common among males and females, as well as across races and ethnicities.
  • Causes: Butterfly disease refers to a group of rare, inherited diseases that cause the skin to be very fragile and to blister easily. There are around 30 subtypes of butterfly disease, and these are sorted into four main groups that differ based on the part of the skin that is affected.

  • After dominating the pop and country charts since 2019, Morgan Wallen picked up his first entertainer of the year honor at the 2024 CMA Awards, though he wasn’t there to accept it. The country star beat out last year’s winner, Lainey Wilson, as well as Luke Combs, Jelly Roll and Chris Stapleton, who won multiple honors Wednesday. Jeff Bridges presented the final award of the night, which comes weeks after Wallen earned his first pair of Grammy nominations.

In previous 2 months, The Daily Zap has seen a dozen of institutions which have adopted Bitcoin strategy.
