The tradition of the Sleepy Head Day traces back to the Middle Ages, when the belief was that the person in the household who slept late on this day would be lazy and non-productive for the rest of the year.In the old days, the last person sleeping in the house (also dubbed as the "laziest") could be woken up by using water, either by being thrown into a lake or the sea, or by having water thrown on them.

Maps are always wrong.

Yes, you read it right. Maps are always wrong! Surprised? I can explain.
Let me start with a small question. “What is the shape of the earth ?” Of course not flat, round - No! spherical? - No! Ellipsoid- No! A geographer out from the readers is shouting “Geoid” - No not a geoid as well. Well, then the teachers and scientists were actually fooling you all these years? First of all, understand that the earth has no regular shape. We consider it as a spherical or a geoid for the ease of many purposes. The actual earth may look like something in the figure below (vertically exaggerated).
Either Shape or Area or Distance or Direction or in combination of these are distorted for every map.

I've never known it before. Does earth really look like the image shown?!
The various colours are also very surprising. Dark red why?

I've also seen it today. It's surprising. The earth must be spherical but it's not.

Octopuses have their own kind of garden under the sea. Some species of octopuses have been seen picking up shells, rocks, and other objects to create a little garden. They use these gardens as their home and a place to hunt.

Pine trees can tell if it's about to rain. Next time you see a pine cone, take a close look. If it’s closed, that’s because the air is humid, which can indicate rain is on its way.

Phantom limb syndrome is a condition where people who have had limbs amputated still feel pain, and other sensations as if the limb is still there. This happens because the brain keeps getting signals from the nerves that used to carry impulses from the missing limb. Even after the limb is gone these signals can cause real uncomfortable sensations that the brain interprets as coming from the amputated area.
