No problem. You made it with still 15 hours left for the first game to kick off.
didn't have the bandwidth to think about my picks.
I thought you're also ass guessing like @grayruby does.
reply
My 6 year old will be making my picks for the men’s big bash. Let’s see if she does better.
reply
She'll definitely do better. Unlike you, at least she'll think for a minute or two before making picks.
reply
Believe it or not, I have been putting some thought into my picks.
I may outsource to my kid too, though.
reply
I believe you but I don't believe @grayruby says he's been ass guessing.

Thanks Noted. I wonder why you made the choice for New York Strikers? You don't do any research before picking your choices.
However it's just 1 match for strikers so far.
The format is T10 which means a team gets only 10 overs (60 balls). This is the shortest format in Cricket. But it's fastest, a lot of sixes and boundries. It's quite entertaining.

My strategy is wild ass guessing.

Keep it up! 💪

You must be really happy how things are going for India in Australia. Really surprised they have managed to go through the second day without a wicket.
reply
I'm glad you're enjoying the game. I suspected the similar behaviour from the pitch. Sometimes some pitches get better on day two and three and again detroriate on day 4 and 5. It's good India are wicketless in their second innings but anything below 400 lead will make things interesting. India needs to bat out day 3 before asking Australia to bat on day 4 to make sure a strong lead.
reply
It seems a slower pace how they get runs in this format. Is this normal?
reply
Test Cricket is a test of patience because it has much more time/overs. A batsmen can build his innings without having much pressure of the dot balls he plays.
I won't say it's normal that they score more runs in test cricket but they get more time and overs to make those runs. They play test Cricket with different approach often defensive one. One dayers and T20s (and even T10s now) are played aggressively.
reply
Ok, it's interesting. It's the first time I have followed a test match and I noticed the difference in the runs.
reply
The difference is real and it's actually the oldest format in Cricket.
Normally you'll see batsmen score runs at a slower pace in this format but in recent times many games have seen them score at a fast pace as well.
Now as you know this test has 3 days left so India has all the world's time to first bat as long as they can and then when the conditions get tougher (the pitch will get worse and worse), Indian bowlers will bowl out Australia easily in their 2nd innings. The pitch has a lot of influence in test Cricket. Often the team batting on the last day loses the game for the pitch has worn out by then.
reply
I can see the tactics and how important is winning the toss.
Thanks Noted 😂
