Once a wise man said, “Every time you say NO to the wrong things, you are saying YES to the right thing.”
Saying no is tough. For the longest time, I was a “yes” person, always nodding my head like a bobblehead on steroids. Whether it was friends inviting me to every social event, relatives or friends asking for help, or stumbling upon new challenges and opportunities, I simply couldn’t resist saying yes. But guess what? That led me to a black hole of anxiety and an empty to-do list. It was time for a change. So, I finally mustered up the courage to embrace the power of saying NO. It wasn’t easy, but hey, life’s too short to be a doormat, am I right?
Before understanding the power of no, let me give you few reasons that blocked me from saying no.
