I don't know if I had an "aha" moment. But I was certainly radicalized by my family's mistreatment of the banking system.
I started getting de-banked in Canada in 2015. I was forced to use expensive, dangerous and inefficient methods to move money - which was scary and annoying. It became clear that, that system was not going to play nice and that I probably wasn't going to be the only one going through that, I was just one of the first.
I knew I wanted to make a difference - and enabling independence via Bitcoin felt like the way to do it.
