I wasn't scammed. I gave the person asking for food around 1200 sats total. The provision was if they were being false it would come back on them. It appears they were playing a game.
Had somehow missed this entire thing (I think I saw the first post begging for a zap and just ignored it), but that was a fun rabbit hole of posts to dive into.
