Keep an eye on Germany's trade deficit.
U.K. is in a dire position (having imported everything for the last decade) but Germany is heading in the same direction.

A small business in my neighborhood with outstanding reputation (they have been active for more than 30 years) is collapsing under the weight of soaring energy costs: in the last three months, 10k£, now 5k£ monthly!
What our response to the COVID-19 has not achieved, our involvement in the war in Ukraine will definitely accomplish: kill all small businesses.
Voting labour or Tories makes no difference, they are both addicted to debt.
