I don't think this is an accurate portrayal of Block's arguments. I've heard him use this thought experiment before and he definitely supports the right to fire back at the guy with the babies strapped to him.
My problem with Block is that he falsely analogizes that situation to what the Israelis are doing to the Palestinians.
Since I am familiar with Block’s reasoning, too. I thought this was somewhat amiss. Block often arrives at reasonably libertarian conclusions in his reasoning, but this isn’t so reasonable. There are a lot of people falsely analogizing to the situation in the MidEast. Many seem to be missing details by blinding themselves using history. I have a hard time with that type of obliviousness. It seems that any kind of people can do any kind of nastiness.

Yes, many people are trying hard to make the facts fit their preferred conclusion.

You will notice that the preferred conclusions seem to favor only certain people. Never the run of the mill people of the EU and US. If it has any advantage for those in the EU and US, it is only for the ELites.
