This reminds me of something James Clear wrote in Atomic Habits. If we aim to be just 1% better every day, we will be 37 times better a year from now. So my answer to your question will be a resounding No!
I see what you’re saying. If we’re always aiming to improve we’re constantly changing ourselves, so we’re never quite the same. Maybe the act of observing ourselves is what drives that growth. Love the perspective
