I guess when you read it with a different preconception of it....that happens.

Keep in mind that I don't necessarily agree with the author, so I might respond to the passage you highlight differently than the author would.

I can try to do a better job of indicating whether I'm trying to explain what the author meant or giving my opinion of the content.

Its fine, discussing is what is important.
Not arguing who is right or wrong.

The arguing about who is right or wrong is the only way to bring the dark into the light.

Keeping the readers guessing and trying to figure it out by comparing the article to what you are saying is a good exercise in critical thinking.

Everything is like that. We are all individuals. With the exception of NPCs we all have a different point of view and thinking style.
