The eurozone industry has now been in recession for 29 months. The only reason this hasn't been noticed so far is that countries in France are creating artificial jobs and demand with a deficit of 6%. If this effect collapses into a debt crisis, the eurozone economy will be finished.

I don't think that has helped them, the euro crisis and the economy in Europe is something that has been going on for quite some time.

I would have thought it brought a lot of tourism, but I could be wrong.
I know it is very expensive to host.
