Once-upon-a-time, we purchased a book for our kids that was, I guess you could call, scratch and sniff, feel, and bend and fold in it. The scratch and sniff barely made it to the third kid but the fur and very smooth mirror and some of the other touch-and-feel objects all made it through all of the kids. It was one of their favorite books because it taught them that you can also use other senses with books. Since that time, we have never seen a book quite like it in any bookstores or department stores, not even at thrift shops! It really peaked the kids interest in reading.
