pull down to refresh

Food is produced from the water of rain and river, but through the eyes, through love and detachment, human life gets baptism of fire and faith, i.e. a new birth takes place.
We take a bath in water everyday, but only he who has bathed in the love stream of eyes knows how the impurity of the mind is washed away, how the eyes start blossoming like flowers, how heart opens up, how the mountain of lowliness shatters.
Why have I been thinking so much about tears? Why am dwelling here?
Because of what is going on within me, because of what I am not only discovering within myself, but what I am beginning to see within others as they cry, as they weep, as they “fall apart” in the presence of the Lord. Something significant happens. Something that is beautiful and meaningful to the Lord, happens.
Why does the world see “tears” as a weakness?
*Because the reality is, “tears” are powerful. Tears can represent breakthrough. Tears bring us closer to the heart of God.
hmmm…
Why do we often want to hold tears back?
Because “tears” are healing, they add to something that’s there for us in heaven.
“You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book.” Psalm 56:8
Let's get everything aside and say .

Blessed are those eyes which sometimes fill with tears of love.

I am so grateful for the power of water.. strong enough to carve through anything with time. So many of us can fake a smile or a laugh, tears are almost always real emotion coming through and it is beautiful to see.
This post reminds me of one of my favorite passages of all time (from the Brothers Karamazov)
The silence of the earth seemed to merge with the silence of the heavens, the mystery of the earth touched the mystery of the stars... Alyosha stood gazing and suddenly, as if he had been cut down, threw himself to the earth.
He did not know why he was embracing it, he did not try to understand why he longed so irresistibly to kiss it, to kiss all of it, but he was kissing it, weeping, sobbing, and watering it with his tears, and he vowed ecstatically to love it, to love it unto ages of ages. "Water the earth with the tears of your joy, and love those tears...," rang in his soul. What was he weeping for? Oh, in his rapture he wept even for the stars that shone on him from the abyss, and "he was not ashamed of this ecstasy."

This is a true depiction of what tears mean. For at least once I tried fakie tears to arouse for a favour, but as soon as I started crying, they were real and that was the day I understood the real bliss they have.
Another instance was when I was hardly a tenager, I went to Mathura to visit Bihari Ji temple and standing inside the temple in front of the lord, my tears started rolling down and I could feel some sense of detachment from everything. There was that flood of so powerful emotions, I always go through whenever I visit there.

That is beautiful. I think most of us usually have a backup of emotion to release. I have really enjoyed listening to a sad song or movie and just letting the tears out. It’s like you said, once I start crying I realize what I needed to release is very real.

As they say, "Tears are words that the heart could never say."

I agree. I cry every chance I get. It's so important for moving energy. Holding onto it will make us sick. I often cry tears of gratitude. I have learned to love the feeling of crying either way. Thank you for sharing this. 💚

I often cry tears of gratitude
This is when you leave the world behind and enter into an eternal bliss of happiness.

I am feeling it recently the most. I didn't cry for nearly 20 years in my 20s and most of my 30s. I didn't know how. It was painful. I have been on a pretty intense healing journey for the last 5 or so years. And I feel like the fruits of it are really starting come into my life in a more concrete way. I am feeling happier than I have for a long time. So grateful for my tears.

Tears, idle tears, I know not what they mean, Tears from the depth of some divine despair Rise in the heart, and gather to the eyes, In looking on the happy Autumn-fields, And thinking of the days that are no more.

Because you've mentioned you're healing by tears, I also have an article which is scientific but it answers why tears are so important to lead a happy life.

Interesting. I don't usually understand the world in terms of science as much anymore but it's cool that it really all correlates. Confirmation of all types is nice.

You know I'm from a country where spiritualism is ranked highest, I've come to realise that that the old texts related to it have always connected the release of human emotions as beneficial for every aspect of life, be it your mental, physical, or emotional well being.
All forms of knowledge should lead you to spirituality else the motive remains incomplete. Tears are the shortcut to attain that summit.

I agree. And it seems to me, the older the text, the better. It feels like the opposite in the US. People don't generally honor ancient texts. Also, it feels difficult to get people on stacker to look through a spiritual lense. I used to be very scientific in my thinking. Finding my spiritual connection has been a key part of my healing and expansion. I never thought much about how important the tears were in my journey.

US is the specimen of modern culture and I'm okay with their always forward looking attitude. But, they can, no one can, never leave spiritualism as part of their life. Spirituality isn't limited to ancient texts, it can be found in everything.
I personally know a lot of wealthy Americans who found their love to spirituality in some modern objects.
All beautiful objects may lead to purgation of soul and tears are the best of them all.
It is a very particular title, your words have made my skin crawl, poetry is one of the most wonderful ways to transmit what we carry inside.

Thanks for the appreciation. I wish I could compose some poetry than string boring words of prose.

For all of us who write and more poetry, each word and verse identifies us, don't give up friend.
