How do you conceptualize of the current times we're living in?

Do you think of the ages you were born in as a) "on the verge of the future" or b) "tail of history".
a) "on the verge of the future" without any restrictions of utopian or dystopian future. Or post modernity. Just as simple as are we on the doorstep of where the futuristic stuff happens?
b) "tail of history" without any restrictions if the tail of history were "the good old days" or the bad primitive days of humankind. Do you think of 2024 as the thing that happened after the 90s, or as the time were the pre-internet days are running out, or whatever
There is intentionally no "neither" option or similar. If you don't know just give me your quick gut feeling.

I get that most people don't like the dichotomy. But if you HAD TO answer either one? Imagine I woke you up at 3am and gave you 3 seconds to answer. Which would you choose?

I would go with both because one person’s tail is another persons on the verge of the future. It seems that there is a transition point in there somewhere, but if it is like many things, you don’t see the transition point until you are long past it. Also, only two choices might be ridiculously short of what is really needed in the field of choices for a poll like this.
