What a coincidence. For about a year, I've been composing an album that I plan to release value-for-value as well. Together with merch and touring, I think it could be a viable business model for independent musicians/bands. Moreover, I think already-successful musicians/bands could make more money than they are now if they were to adopt this business model.
I'm not affiliated with Joe in any way just saw this on twitter. Seems like he believes in value4value and set up a BTCPayServer on his website.
Love the metaphor he used to describe value4value: like playing music on the street, only some people tip, but they know if nobody does it the music will go away and so somehow it works out.
