I am trying to use a browser redirector for Youtube and Twatter. For twatter I was able to make it work nicely with xcancel.
But for Youtube, I tried many different Invidious instances and none of them worked. It simply do not redirect the link I open.
Here is the Redirector extension for Chromium based browsers:
https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/redirector/ocgpenflpmgnfapjedencafcfakcekcd
And here is Redirector extension for Firefox based browsers:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-GB/firefox/addon/redirector/
Here is how I have configured for twatter and actual youtube, using https://materialious.einfachzocken.eu/ as Invidious instance.
You will get 2100 sats if you give me the correct strings to put into Redirector for any Youtube Invidious instance, I don't care which one it is, I just one to be able to AVOID opening Youtube pages. Are fucking annoying.
BTW if this could be implemented on SN will be a great achievement !
Tested and working!
Example URL:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=*Include pattern:
^(?:https?://)(?:www.)?youtube.com/watch\?(?:v=)(.*)Redirect to:
https://materialious.einfachzocken.eu/watch/$1*Regular Expression
Thanks! Worked perfect!
Que bueno! Te sigo siempre estimado! Saludos desde Paraguay.
Pattern:
Redirect To:
https://materialious.einfachzocken.eu/watch?v=$1 Replace materialious.einfachzocken.eu with any Invidious instance you prefer.
nope, something is wrong.
here is how it looks
https?://(www.)?youtube.com/watch?v=([a-zA-Z0-9_-]+).*
Set Redirect To as: https://materialious.einfachzocken.eu/watch?v=$2 Choose Regular Expression and apply to Main Window.
If the redirect works but the Invidious instance fails, try replacing materialious.einfachzocken.eu with another active instance, such as https://yewtu.be or https://vid.puffyan.us.
Try:
Standard watch URLs (https://youtube.com/watch?v=...)
Embedded links (https://youtube.com/embed/...)
Mobile links (https://m.youtube.com/...)
If it still doesn’t work, test the configuration with different Invidious instances. The issue might be with the instance itself. Trial and error will help you.
I gave you 1000 sats also because you were close to the answer and you gave me the idea to create different redirects for each type of youtube (embed, shorts, live etc)

did you test it?

I think that
"Example URL" it should be different than "Include pattern"
