Not gonna lie did no see him getting this type of money and did not see the Yankees paying for a SP this year. I had NY going after Roki Sasakibut they just wiped a million from their international bonus pool

Why would a great pitcher like Max Fried want to tarnish his legacy by playing for the disgusting Yankees?
I was a fan of his but now I must despise him like all the other terrible humans that play for the Yankees.
Sasaki is going to Dodgers or Padres.

He also hasn't topped 180 innings since 2022. He misses a few starts at least a year and just the coverage by NY media is a stark difference then ATL. I mean you can move from LA to NY and its not a big deal but to move from ATL to NY is a wild move

It’s a lot of years for a guy with a spotty injury history.
Looks like the Blue Jays are trading for Andres Giminez.

My thoughts exactly! Jays had a huge hole at second so this will be interesting to see what they gave up. Cleveland has a nack for spinning these trades to steals

They gave up Spencer Horowitz.
They got Giminez and Sandlin. Giminez owed a lot of money and years so this was a salary dump for Cleveland.
Horowitz was good with the Jays last year but he has limited upside and didn’t play well at 2nd. He was fine at first but doesn’t hit for enough power to play first. He can be a nice depth piece on a good team.
