There's a ton at stake tonight. Three of us have the Knicks, but more importantly there's a head-to-head(-to-head) showdown.
@gnilma has staked his future on the late-empire Warriors vs @supercyclone and @Carresan who have the Rockets.
Let the games begin!
That was unexpected. Hawks couldn't make 3's tonight, but still got it done with strong defense. Daniels was great in disrupting Brunson. And how about them offensive boards? 21 offensive rebounds for the Hawks, impressive. Knicks still seem quite unreliable. Some nights, they look like they can beat any team; some other nights, they just look mediocre.
Saying an early goodbye to our friends that have fallen due to this unexpected result. I may or may not join you guys depending on how the Warriors vs Rockets game go. Wish me luck.

If you survive, it will just be you vs @grayruby.

The battle of Canada. Like the old days when the Raptors and Grizzlies faced off. Sadly I have no one left in the East.
reply
So, you either have to win outright in the SF's or hope to win on tie-breakers after everyone forfeits.
reply
They won’t forfeit though. Whether it is gnilma or carresan and supercyclone, they all have both east teams and Thunder. I need them to pick east and lose.
reply
There’s also the possibility that you all pick wrong in the next round and then it goes to tiebreakers.
reply
So if we both pick Thunder I should cheer for them to lose.
A big if, as I still think the Rockets will win, they are the better team, younger and playing with more energy. Hoping for another upset here for the selfish desire to win the pool and some sats.
reply
Knicks looking good on their Bitcoin court.
reply
Good game so far, still early and game still close, but looks like Knicks starting a run.
reply
Hawks have been playing well lately but I think Knicks will be too much for them.
reply
I agree. Hawks definitely the underdog here. I'm secretly cheering for them. Always fun to see the underdog win.
reply
It would be incredibly fun for the Hawks to win. Trae Young would become a legendary Knicks villain.
reply
He's already the villain, but I guess no legendary status yet. I can see him getting there.
reply
Uh oh, the Knicks seem to be unraveling.
reply
Their offense look out of sync. Give the Hawks credit too, they're playing good defense.
I am also kind of screwed if Knicks lose. I won’t have an East team left. That would force me to root for Warriors and hope gnilma doesnt get past semi final.
Just waking up in this side of the world and seeing the results! What a night ! Look forward to the next round! Is it only between @supercyclone @grayruby and me?
reply
Yes a couple of exciting games. Semifinals will be on Saturday.
reply
Ok, I can see. One of them is 10:30pm in Spain. I will check if I’m can watch it in my TV provider. The other one at 2:30…. Too late!
reply
GO KNICKS!! If they don’t win tonight I’m out!
I mean sure @Undisciplined would be out too, but so would I!!
I already picked Warriors so sorry @gnilma I hope the Rockets win!
reply
I already took the Rockets, so I'm team Warriors.

reply
Wow, that was close. Good game guys. Lost by 1, but a loss is a loss. Good luck to the rest of you survivors.
reply
Tight first quarter on the Warriors Rockets game. Warriors having so many turn overs, not good.
reply
Three eliminations down. Will it be four or five by the end of the night?
reply
I was reviewing the original post. Tiebreaker is supposed to be MVP. Did we pick MVP? I don’t recall doing that.
reply
We haven’t and I didn’t specify when we would do that.
I think I’ll have us make those picks before the semifinals.
reply
That’s probably good. I am sure everyone is picking Canadian legend SGA. I do not blame them.
reply
I am a little worried about that. I’m thinking about taking Giannis instead.
