I am a 49ers fan. In case you haven’t noticed we don’t consider special teams to be part of the game. It’s just some strange unrelated thing that occurs and costs us games.
When the 49ers were good, I thought he should take it even less seriously. Go for it on every 4th down and only go for 2 pt conversions. Use those special teams roster spots on more weapons.
Maybe that will be next years strategy. I was listening to a 49ers podcast and they did a live mock draft. Host is like “we got OT, DE, DT, C with our first four picks” and I am thinking that’s great but no way in hell Shanahan lets that happen. He needs at least 1 WR or RB in the first 3 rounds.
Interesting thing is that he is probably not the best pure wr or pure cb in this class. Top 3-5 player at each but will be interesting how nfl teams underwrite that especially if they intend to have him only play predominantly on one side in the pros
That is the exact feature that made it for him. Where is he better and where do teams need him more? I’m sure he will go of in one of the top spots. I wonder how much he will go off for.
I think it is a possibility if the Jags get the number one overall pick since they already have a QB but they could trade back as well so probably not.
Super impressive season but it should have been Jeanty with his numbers
Two way player. Elite at both positions. Not surprised he got it.
Isn’t he a three-way player? I didn’t watch them much, but I thought he returned kicks too.

Since the greatest punters in NFL history are Raiders, the nation makes sure to remind people that it is in fact part of the game.
Special teams cost the 49ers the Super Bowl and at least two games this year so I wish our coach took it as seriously as you but he doesn’t.

Agreed but almost breaking Barry sanders record and having more yards after contact than any other rbs total yards is wild
And, he is a CB, too. No wonder he beat the field!
Incredible season.

If a team is going to use a top 5 pick on him I would guess they will use him at both positions at least some of the time.

I doubt he will be overall number one pick, I feel like teams probably need other positions more. But he is undoubtedly a special player

Not even surprised, dude is an absolute baller.
He's gunna be a huge force in the league.
Don’t know if he will be number one. Where do you think he will play in the pros? As WR or CB? Both are choice spots for the team getting him.
Probably some of both.
Then he is truly very valuable, at least as a suitable sub at both positions in times of need or injury.
