I'm thinking about how drastically your life can change in just one day. My aunt, (the one who took care of me a few years ago when I got sick) suffered 3 strokes this week.
She is alive, but she doesn't talk, she doesn't walk and she wears a diaper. She returned to Venezuela 2 years ago, so I haven't been able to see her in person. I'm not Catholic, I don't follow any religion, but she does, so I'm going to pray for her because that's what she would do. When I was sick, she gave me a holy card of a saint called "Jose Gregorio Hernandez", he was a Venezuelan doctor and he was sainted. She gave me an old holy card, it belonged to her mother, I still carry it with me always, not because I believe in saints, but because I believe in the love and kindness of my aunt.
