Howdy Stackers! As you all are already aware that we're in the process of nominations for SN Annual Awards to be held on New Year's Eve. The nomination process will run upto Christmas before we get the top 5 for each category. In the announcement post I've mentioned 5 categories. Out of those 5 categories, I've already made nomination posts for the first four.
The fifth one as announced was "THE TROLLER OF THE YEAR" which I and some other Stackers have thought to be replaced with a better one or something that would be more interesting. @realBitcoinDog suggested to add a few more categories but @grayruby and I thought 5 is a good number for categories. So, taking in consideration all suggestions, I've come to conclusion that the fifth category for this year's SN Annual Awards should be Stackers' choice through a poll.
So far, we already have these 4 categories for which the nominations are running.
I'm putting in some of the suggestions in the options for the fifth one and the highest votes will become STACKERS' CHOICE AWARD CATEGORY. So please jump in to vote and tell

This (assmilking) is TOTAL USELESS that is already displayed and "awarded".
This contest is like making another "top SN" but voted only by a handful of users, aka voting each others (assmilking each others). that do not represent the whole Top SN (the real one).

I meant idea as far as my nominations for troll of the year. It's my inner trickster coming out. We will see. No one would probably get it anyways. Just to entertain myself Mostly. What is going to happen with the post of the year?I don't feel like there is enough nomination comments to even come up with a solid list to vote on. Post of the year is tricky because it's so subjective and there are so many. Maybe we keep troll of the year or add cowboy and replace post of the year with meme? Either way memes should be added. Very popular and it's a great idea @Coinsreporter
I think we've enough there. Also we've time till Christmas, we'll get enough participation there as well.

The same problem as with the post of the year - stackers need to search on SN for best memes. I'm seeing a lack of interest among stackers to search for Awards. They will search when they need it. So, if you've some idea to implement MotY, please suggest.

It's challenging because I do t think Stackers will search someone else's memes and then post here link or meme with the link.
The option that I'm thinking is to allow the MotY category open for everyone and the top 5 memes will then go to the poll.
I'll make it clear in the announcement post that only original memes are allowed. If you want to post someone else's already posted meme, you can do it with a link.
But I don't know how we can check the originality of the meme?
Another option is that we allow everyone to submit the memes and do not impose any rules.
