How does it feel mining some sats?
I like it, but it sounds like I won't get any sats for quite a while unless I set up lightning payments.

Thanks, I'll look into that.

I wasn't clear on how this works. I still have the Phoenix wallet I downloaded before they pulled out of the US. Does it still work?
I haven't tried to use it since the announcement.
reply
Whoa. You can create Bolt12 offers with Phoenix? I've installed Start9's StartOS, and then installed Bitcoin Core and CLD within in, because it seemed like the easiest route for a noob such as myself to go about creating a Bolt12 offer to withdraw sats I mined with Ocean.

Dont you already have it set up for SN?
Should be easy.
reply
You have to use a different set up that I'm not familiar with.

If you don't want to go non-custodial, can't you use Alby Hub with an ecash mint?
reply
Alby Hub is non-custodial. I don't know enough about the rest to say if it would work. OCEAN is only compatible with Bolt 12 lightning payments.
edit: you mean ecash mint is custodial
reply
Ecash mints are custodial.
Alby Hub is a server you can run at home, so it's non-custodial in that sense, but you can connect it to an ecash backend. That way you don't have to run your own LN node and manage liquidity. Alby Hub acts as an interface with the mint, effectively disguising it as a LN node.

Thanks. I feel like I'll need a level up before I attempt that.
More likely, I'll just disconnect from the pool and go into lottery mode.

Thanks for the mention. 🥜
